Ghostbusters

The fabric part of the Ghostbusters outfit was made from a white boiler suit, dyed beige. The accessories were an old army style belt and some boys skateboarding knee and elbow pads. I also found some Ghostbusters logos and blank patches on the internet. The name tags were printed onto strong self adhesive paper and stuck on the patches. The undershirt was a plain black tee shirt.

The bulk of the packs were made from a supermarket fruit box, painted black. Using the film footage as a

guide I used anything I could find that resembled the components on the pack. After laying all the parts out,

I stuck them in place and painted them. I also made a small circuit board which flashed several L.E.D's mounted in the rear of the pack. The mounting straps were roof rack straps from Halfords.

The Gun was made from some plumbing waste pipe and some plastic boxes .Again I used anything I could find in the garage to fix to the gun to make it look good. The pipe connecting the gun to the pack was some cable conduit.

To finish the Ghostbusters outfits off, I made a Ghost trap, A P.K. Meter and some Ecto Goggles.

The Ghost trap was made from a plastic terminal box, an old panel handle and various stick on bits. To complete the look I used some black and yellow sticky tape. The P.K. Meter was another size terminal box with a paint brush used as the handle, The fins were shaped bits of aluminium screwed to the side of the box. I used some old scrap electrical components on the front face to make it look good.

The goggles were very easy to make. I used an old pair of welding goggles and stuck waste pipe to the lenses and sprayed the whole thing black.
