Diary: Starfury is an institution for Lee and myself now. So we booked nice and early. We managed to get low enough tickets to visit the Cocktail party with the guests. That was great fun. We had a nice chat with Anthony Simcoe. The Friday night disco was Gotham night, So anything Batman was cool. We had our photos taken with the guests on Saturday morning. The photos as usual were top quality. A few trips to the dealers room and guest talks paved way for the fancy dress parade. Lee and I had spent so long making Ghost Busters outfits for the Saturday Disco (sci-fi Heroes), We decided to enter the fancy dress parade. What a buzz that was. Loads of support and several photos latter we got third prize. Not bad for first timers. With all the autograph collecting and photos out of the way Sunday was a relaxed day. A few more guest talks, An afternoon sleep to catch up and another party. The theme this time was The roaring 20's, (Gangsters and Molls). I was well impressed. Load of people dressed up for a Sunday night. Three very good and different guests and the usual party atmosphere made Assendent every bit as good as previous Starfury events.
